About the Job

We’re looking for an experienced Entrepreneur in Residence (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies in the FinTech industry and develop its M&A advisory strategy.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on supporting business development on an operational and strategic level.

Join our portfolio company: A German FinTech focused on offering SMBs across Germany a one-stop-shop for professional M&A services. The company’s SaaS platform and extensive network of associations, banks, advisors, and buyers streamline the process and provide value to all relevant stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Be responsible for operational and strategic business development in close cooperation with the management team
  • Monitor the essential KPIs in business development, recognise fluctuations and trends at an early stage, and act proactively based on them
  • Be responsible for process automations - Cooperate with the operational team and critically question processes and implement ideas for further process improvements

  • Be responsible for the automations and continuously improve them
  • Support and cooperate with the marketing team with new ideasCoordinate technological advancement with the software developers
  • Engage in strategic planning with the management team

Your Profile

  • Initial experience (0-5 years) in a fast-paced, agile environment, ideally in high-growth startups or in management consulting
  • Generalist with a broad interest in technology, business, and the financial world, as well as a basic understanding of M&A and corporate finance
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly penetrate complex issues and reduce them to their essential factors
  • Good understanding of technology and terms such as "API" and "JSON Schema"
  • Interest in the latest automation and no-code tools (e.g. Zapier, Bubble.io, Make)
  • Basic understanding of marketing and relevant metrics
  • Critical questioning of the status quo and redesigning of business processes and approaches thanks to methodical problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Academic degree in the field of industrial engineering, business informatics, economics or comparable subjects

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
