About the Job

We are looking for a motivated Junior Finance Manager to join our Finance team and drive the development of our strategies.

In your daily work, you will focus on ensuring fund compliance processes with a focus on anti-money-laundering, liquidity management and treasury, and make a valuable contribution to various exciting tasks & projects.

A group of dedicated professionals responsible for financial planning and analysis to support strategic decisions. The team focuses on fund administration for Project A, liquidity management, fund reporting to investors and fund compliance. In addition, financial due diligence reporting for our portfolio companies and accounting for day-to-day activities are part of their extensive remit.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Carry out Know Your Customer (KYC) checks as part of our anti-money laundering (AML) duties
  • Answer incoming KYC requests concerning our own management company & funds 
  • Support or assume responsibility for external reporting (Bundesbank, BaFin, FATCA/CRS, etc.)
  • Cooperate in liquidity management and payment transactions (online banking)
  • Create, dispatch and follow-up expense calls to our General Partners
  • Collect, store & administrate AML/KYC master data (investors, investments) as part of ongoing monitoring/ risk analysis
  • Work closely with our service providers (legal and tax advisors, money laundering officers, banks, etc.), as well as other teams within the company (including Legal, Investor Relations, Investment) including management

Your Profile

  • Ideally first professional experience in finance and/or legal environment (e.g. controlling/accounting, compliance, banking, legal department/ law firm etc.)
  • Reliability and orientation to detail, as well as motivation to get to know financial and legal processes comprehensively (especially in the area of AML)
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong team spirit
  • Completed vocational training and/or Bachelor with a focus on finance and/or legal (e.g. paralegal, office management assistant, administrative clerk)
  • Fluent in German and English

Please note that we are looking for support in our Berlin office. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
