About the Job

We’re looking for an experienced M&A Analyst (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies in the Fin-tech industry and develop its M&A advisory strategy.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on leading transactions to success together with your team in project work.

Join our portfolio company: A German FinTech focused on offering SMBs across Germany a one-stop-shop for professional M&A services. The company’s SaaS platform and extensive network of associations, banks, advisors, and buyers streamline the process and provide value to all relevant stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Oversee all process steps in the context of M&A live transactions
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships with potential investors and buyers
  • Create market analyses and presentations 
  • Evaluate market participants with DCF and/or other methods  
  • Create data-driven equity stories together with clients and structure convincing investment memoranda and teasers based on them
  • Organise and carry out due diligence checks 
  • Create integrated business plans and LBO models

Your Profile

  • First experience (1-3 years) in an investment bank, M&A boutique, auditing or in very transaction-related professions.
  • Initial experience (through relevant internships) in M&A or corporate finance
  • Good knowledge of creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel models
  • Quick grasp of new concepts, strong analytical thinking and a high willingness to learn
  • Consulting and convincing skills as well as an analytical and independent way of working
  • Great team spirit and a good understanding of business models and economic relationships
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Academic degree in the field of economics or law

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Permission to work within the EU is also required.
