About the Job
We’re looking for an experienced M&A Manager (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies in the Fin-tech industry and develop its M&A advisory strategy.
In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on leading transactions to success along the entire M&A process in project management together with the team.
Join our portfolio company: A German FinTech focused on offering SMBs across Germany a one-stop-shop for professional M&A services. The company’s SaaS platform and extensive network of associations, banks, advisors, and buyers streamline the process and provide value to all relevant stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll:
- Conduct market and industry analysis as well as company research
- Create data-driven equity stories together with clients and structure convincing investment memoranda and teasers
- Evaluate market participants with DCF and/or other methods
- Create integrated business plans and LBO models
- Design M&A strategies, support their implementation and maintain close contact with the management level of your customers and potential investors
- Manage the M&A process also in critical phases and act as an advisor for clients at eye level
- Support the origination team in providing strategic advice to new clients
- Accompany your team in an emphatic and motivating manner, actively supporting them in project activities and creating professional perspectives
Your Profile
- 4 - 7 years of experience in an investment bank, M&A boutique, auditing or in very transaction-related professions
- Leadership experience in project management and successful management of M&A transactions
- Experience in dealing with clients also in critical phases of a transaction process
- Ability to close complex transactions with innovative solutions and create real added value for clients
- Excellent analytical skills and are ability to quickly understand complex issues and reduce them to the essential drivers
- Very good financial skills and optionally, a PhD or a CFA
- Business fluency in German and English
- Academic degree in the field of economics or law
Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Permission to work within the EU is also required.
