About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Commercial Operations (m/f/d) to join our dynamic defence-tech SaaS start-up and lead their commercial strategies.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for scaling our sales processes, fostering strong customer relationships, and driving various strategic initiatives.

In this role, you’ll:
- Manage the commercial growth of the company by providing strategic direction to account executives, managers, and our after-sales team.
- Direct end-to-end sales initiatives, including formulating outreach approaches, presenting to prospective clients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless product implementation.
- Stay ahead of market trends through continuous competitor analysis, enabling informed business decisions.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and partners, to establish sales objectives and motivate the team to surpass sales targets.
- Establish accountability by devising relevant metrics and aligning compensation and promotions accordingly.
- Utilise diverse strategies and tactics to generate and qualify leads, penetrating untapped markets.
- Strengthen customer engagement and retention through a robust post-sales process.
- Nurture a culture of excellence within the entire commercial team.
Your Profile:
- 5 or more years' experience building, expanding and leading high-performing sales teams within product-led organisations.
- Demonstrated success in introducing new technologies to the market.
- In-depth knowledge of pricing strategy for SaaS organisations
- Proficiency in bridging the gap between product development and market demands.
- Proven track record of accomplishments in senior sales leadership roles.
- Extensive background in consultative sales, with the ability to cultivate and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding / experience with government procurement cycles is preferred.
- A strategic thinker and adept problem solver with a hands-on approach.
Please note that this position is based in the London office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the UK is required as well.
