About 20 managers of German newspaper publishing houses have been visiting Project A during the “newspaper meets start-up”-tour on September 26th. What are the digital challenges for publishing houses and newspapers? How can innovations in this field be fostered? These were the among other the main topics that were discussed between the participants and Project A’s co-founder and managing director Dr. Florian Heinemann. In his speech he talked about the structure and current developments in the German and international start-up industry.
“Really great speech”, said Prof. Dr. Nettesheim, co-leader of the start-up tour and managing director of the consultant agency _MEDIATE.
“He placed the German VC-landscape very clearly in the greater historical and international context. Besides he could show the publishing managers precise possibilities in the VC business.”
“The participants have been particularly excited about the very practical insights, e.g. how interesting co-investors are or that smaller equity stake combined with a strong commitment is often the key to success”, tells Elisabeth Stangl, who created the start-up tour. “Our visit at Project A has been a highlight of the 2-day-BDVZ-start-up tour through Berlin. Especially combined with the visits of the portfolio companies Wine in Black and Kochzauber who conjured us a delicious test dinner."
After the speech the group continued its visits with Project A’s start-ups Wine in Black and Kochzauber.
