About Anton

Anton leads the venture capital strategy and the investment team - he shares responsibility for both with Uwe.

Prior to joining Project A in 2016, Anton was Managing Director of Axel Springer Digital Ventures, where he built up the media company's venture capital activities in the US. Before that, he was Chief of Staff to Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner in Berlin. He is a fully qualified lawyer, holds a PhD in Intellectual Property Law and an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

If you ask Anton about his most formative moments in life, he would tell you anecdotes of how he became a godfather of a shoeshiner‘s son during his work in La Paz (Bolivia), how he got in the middle of a sacrificial ritual with Ghana’s most famous shaman Nana Kwaku Bonsam when he lived in Accra, or how he fell in love with his wife in Berlin's most famous nightclub Berghain. Today, their four children share Anton's passion for the first love of his life: second-division football club FC St. Pauli in Hamburg.

Anton gets particularly excited about founders with a mission that goes beyond the pure economic success of their company. In his spare time, he enjoys supporting political talent as a fellow at JoinPolitics. He was recognised as a Young Leader by the German-American think tank "Atlantik-Brücke" and co-founded "Kinderspiel Berlin", a charitable student association supporting children in need.
