We’re looking for a motivated Robotic Engineer (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge mechatronic, electronic, and software solutions for robotic systems. Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.
In this role, you’ll:
- Design, develop, and maintain software for robotic systems; including simulation, control algorithms, perception, planning, and user interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics solutions into existing systems and workflows
- Perform thorough testing and validation of software solutions to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for robotics systems, including on-site and remote assistance when necessary
- Document software designs, development processes, and system configurations for internal and external stakeholders
- Select and integrate sensors for the solution of real and complex problems of the defense industry
Your Profile
- Proven experience in software development for robotics or automation systems
- Proficiency in C++, and ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration
- Knowledge of electronics, sensor selection and HW/SW integration
- Strong understanding of communication protocols and hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, USB) and communication protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English
Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
