About the Job
We’re looking for a motivated AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies.
In your day-to-day work, you’ll leverage your expertise to design and implement AI solutions that transform how we interact with the world around us.
Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.
In this role, you’ll:
- Design, develop, and deploy offline AI solutions, with a focus on computer vision, object detection, classification, and segmentation to achieve project goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform extensive testing and validation of AI models to confirm their accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, utilizing frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Optimize existing AI systems for improved performance, considering computational resources and hardware constraints.
- Document development processes, system configurations, and algorithm
- performance, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance with industry standards.
Your Profile
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience with C++ and ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Proven experience in AI, focusing on computer vision, object detection, object classification, and segmentation.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of machine learning models (LLMs, LMMs) and their application in AI solutions.
- Experience with integrating AI solutions with hardware components and understanding of related requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, consistently making well-informed decisions in intricate projects.
- Outstanding communication abilities, capable of demystifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members in AI development best practices.
- Experience with 3D computer vision techniques and technologies (AI and point clouds).
Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
