About the Job

We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager (m/f/d) for the sales team. As a crucial member of our trading team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of our innovative marketplace, connecting buyers and suppliers globally.

In your day-to-day work, you'll manage the full sales cycle and maintaining strong relationship wit our customers.

Join our portfolio company: Founded in 2021 with its HQ in Berlin/Germany, the company runs a trailblazing marketplace that redefines one of the largest supply chains on earth. The company’s mission is to unlock the vast potential of cross-border supply for the Western Market by providing global access to high-quality products through their innovative platform. Since the launch in January 2022, the firm has operated discreetly with no public profile or media coverage while it has already successfully served hundreds of companies.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage the full sales cycle and identify new opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with customers to foster long-term partnerships
  • Facilitate and oversee transactions on the marketplace to ensure seamless trade between customers and suppliers
  • Work closely with the Technology, Operations, Growth and Leadership teams to provide feedback on platform functionality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor new team members and foster a culture of continuous learning within the company
  • Address any concerns or feedback from clients and work towards effective problem resolution
  • Stay informed about market trends, product demand, and industry dynamics to make informed decisions

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 4 years of experience in Sales and Business Development roles, and a proven record in mentoring junior team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in German (native speaker fluency preferred) and good English command
  • Go-To-Market, entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment such as hyper-growth start-ups
  • Basic understanding of national and international trade and supply chain management is a plus

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
