About the Job
We're looking for an experience VP of Finance (m/f/d) to join the Finance team and develop its financial function and cash management strategies.
In your day-to-day work, you'll focus on streamlining the financial trajectory of the company, driving efficient working capital management, and effectively engaging with investors to secure the necessary funding for growth and innovation.

The company’s mission is to unlock the vast potential of cross-border supply for the Western Market by providing global access to high-quality products through their innovative platform. Since the launch in January 2022, the firm has operated discreetly with no public profile or media coverage while it has already successfully served hundreds of companies.
In this role, you’ll:
- Build and scale the company’s finance function in Accounting, Financial planning & analysis, controlling, tax, and cash management
- Build the organisational, analytical, and financial frameworks and heartbeat of the company through improved customer economics insights, KPI management & reporting and budget process implementation
- Determine the appropriate business objectives, budgeting/planning process and associated metrics with the founders and investors and ensure they align with the strategic and operational plans
- Mentor, develop and supplement talent in the finance function to support expansion
- Provide insightfully and trusted counsel to the founders, peers, and investors on both financial and broader business topics
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the financial trajectory of the company, driving efficient working capital management, and effectively engaging with investors to secure the necessary funding for growth and innovation
- Create a compelling equity story, present financial aspects to investors, engage in Q&A, and lead due diligence efforts
- Enhance the current slate of tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the founders, executive team and the Board and make recommendations on strategy, operations and risk management
Your Profile
- Significant experience as Head of, VP or CFO with proven success in leading a variety of finance disciplines (FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Compliance and Risk Management)
- Venture Capital ownership experience, managing stakeholders (partners and investors) and representing the organisation towards customers and investors
- Prior experience in managing international, sizable, cross-functional teams, executing at pace and building scalable systems and processes to deliver against aggressive revenue targets
- Experience in Investment banking or top consulting firms
- Demonstrable track record of strong financial leadership, ensuring best practices of accounting and reporting
- Hunger to succeed within a commercially led operating environment, with core experience anchored in finance but with the commercial instinct to drive value and performance in the wider business
- Able to set clear goals, devise plans, attend to appropriate details, meet deadlines, and inspire others to move in an established direction
- Able to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to drive business and create teams
- High levels of energy with the ability to motivate and drive teams, engendering a culture of teamwork
- Someone who thrives in a multifaceted and at times very hands-on role
Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
